Turok: Origins – A Co-op Shooter in a World of Primal Dinosaurs and Terrifying Aliens Bent on Destroying Humanity

Relic monsters can only be defeated using their own DNA, integrated into the bodies of legendary warriors.

The upcoming adventure shooter Turok: Origins will be the first game in the legendary series since the 2000s (excluding the cartoonish action game Turok: Escape from Lost Valley), bringing back heroes who once again battle prehistoric reptiles and their alien monstrosities. This time, the situation is spiraling out of control, and the wild creatures of the Lost Lands are preparing to leave their planets and conquer the galaxy. It’s up to us to thin out their numbers…

The main feature of this new installment is the ability to explore different worlds, where human colonies are under siege by reptilian predators. These dinosaurs not only survived extinction but evolved along a different path, becoming perfect killing machines. Even more terrifying, they have established contact with mysterious forces from other dimensions, gaining new abilities and devastating attacks.

The campaign in Turok: Origins is designed for up to three players, who will engage in intense battles against a variety of dinosaurs, alien creatures, and their monstrous bosses. Players will wield a diverse arsenal of powerful weaponry, including plasma rifles, beam cannons, sniper rifles, bows, shotguns, and more. Keeping dinosaurs at a distance won’t always be possible—at times, warriors will have to fight in brutal close-quarters combat.

Some dinosaurs will be so powerful that defeating them will require modifying human DNA with genetic material from fallen beasts. These genetic sequences can alter a warrior’s appearance, unlock unique abilities, or enhance their armor. However, players must choose wisely, as certain modifications may grant advantages in combat at the cost of more crucial survival traits.

Turok: Origins is expected to be released in 2026 on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
